At First Call Pediatrics, we love showcasing the amazing providers who care for our families. This month, we’re excited to spotlight our fourth provider, Stephanie Krawczyk! Stephanie’s passion for child-centered care continues to make a difference for our patients every day. She is our last provider to spotlight, and we are excited to do so during her birthday week! Happy Birthday, Steph! We love you and hope you have an amazing year filled with love and gratitude!

Stephanie’s journey is grounded in years of professional experience. She is a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience providing expert care in high-acuity neonatal settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University. Over the course of her career, Stephanie has worked in nationally recognized institutions such as the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Emory University/Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She has experience in North Florida at the University of Florida Jacksonville and Wolfson Children’s Hospital, where she was honored as the 2024 Advanced Practice Provider of the Year.

Known for her clinical precision, calm leadership, and compassionate approach, Stephanie brings a deep commitment to personalized evidence-based care and family advocacy. She aims to treat every baby if they were her own and provides care and support that every parent needs. Learning has been a life-long passion for Stephanie; she is currently obtaining her Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) certification to further support families in the critical early days of infant breastfeeding and bonding and working to become a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) technician to help ensure Jacksonville’s littlest car passengers are riding safely. Her work is grounded in the belief that every newborn deserves the highest standard of care, and every family deserves a trusted partner on their healthcare journey.

Stephanie has always envisioned a better approach to pediatric care. After spending years in traditional hospital environments, she saw how challenging the healthcare system could be for families, especially those with newborns and medically complex children. Long wait times, hurried appointments, and the difficulty of bringing little ones to multiple visits often left parents feeling overwhelmed and unsupported.

When she became a mother herself, these challenges became even more apparent. She personally felt the lack of guidance families often face once they leave the hospital. This experience became the spark behind co-founding First Call Pediatrics. Stephanie wanted to build a true community for parents that delivers exceptional pediatric care while supporting the entire family, not just the symptoms.

With years of experience in the field and a passion for helping others, Stephanie also has a wonderful personal life that shapes her professional perspective. Originally from southern New Jersey, she moved to Jacksonville from Atlanta to get back to the coast, the beach being an important part of her life. Stephanie has lived in and practiced newborn pediatric care in Jacksonville for eight years. She has an adorable little boy named Jameson, or J, who she cares for with her husband, James. James and Stephanie met in Myrtle Beach, SC and have been married for eight years. Together they have built a beautiful life built around love and compassion. When Stephanie isn’t busy enjoying the small moments with her family, you can catch her outside, usually at the beach, but also out walking on various trails throughout the Jacksonville area or cheering on her Philadelphia sports teams. She also loves hiking, kayaking, reading, going to the theater, symphony and concerts, and spending time with family and friends. Her family loves to partake in the Christmas season and decks out their yard to the nines for others to come see.

At the foundation of Stephanie’s work is a simple belief: families shouldn’t have to navigate early childhood alone. She knows those first years are filled with big questions, tender moments, and times when parents need steady guidance. Through First Call Pediatrics, she is committed to being part of that support system—offering knowledgeable care, genuine reassurance, and compassion woven into every interaction.

First Call Pediatrics is proud to have Stephanie as part of our team. Her commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care is inspiring. She adds an immense amount of value and is a dedicated member of our team.

Whether she’s conducting a routine visit, helping a child manage a long-term condition, or responding to late-night concerns, Stephanie’s purpose remains consistent: to ensure families feel uplifted, informed, and fully supported. She is devoted to building meaningful relationships with parents and giving them the tools and confidence they need, while nurturing children’s physical, emotional, and developmental growth. Above everything, she believes each child deserves care tailored to who they are and who they are becoming.

Thank you for being a part of our team Stephanie!
