Today’s traditional healthcare system often means long wait times, rushed visits, and confusing billing. At First Call Pediatrics, our mission is simple: support our members’ children through every stage of childhood by providing personalized, high-quality pediatric services designed to fit seamlessly into your family’s life. Whether you need a virtual visit, an at-home appointment, or a quick message from your provider for peace of mind, our goal is to meet you where you are, literally. No waiting rooms. No 15-minutes-or-less doctor’s appointments. No surprise medical bills. No stress.
Founded by parents who specialize in neonatal and pediatric medicine, First Call Pediatrics brings together lived parenting experience, clinical excellence, and advanced pediatric expertise, delivering thoughtful, high-level care directly to your home. After years of witnessing the challenges families face in hospital and office settings, our team has designed a series of concierge pediatric care memberships focused on:
-
- better access to providers,
- improved communication (with honest, timely answers), and
- true continuity of care with the same trusted team over time.
We understand that choosing the best pediatric care for your family is a major decision, and we understand that your child’s health evolves as they age. In the early stages of childhood, checkups are frequent, questions are constant, and unexpected illnesses pop up at the most inconvenient times. The teenage years generally mean fewer visits, but they are defined be a series of challenges as your child enters puberty and experiences new developmental changes. This is why we designed two separate, easy-to-understand memberships with transparent pricing and clear, comprehensive service offerings.
This guide will walk you through First Call Pediatrics’ membership options so your family can understand what each package offers, allowing you to find the perfect fit.
Newborn Pediatric Membership (Ages 0–2)
Newborns and young infants have many routine visits — especially in the first year. A typical schedule includes:
-
- 3–5 days old
- 1 month
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 12 months
- 15 months
- 18 months
- 2 years
That is seven “normal” trips to the doctor’s office in the first year alone, not including colds, ear infections, rashes, or other concerns that may pop up.
Then add the common frustrations: disrupting your newborn’s routine, potential exposure to illness in a medical office, difficulty reaching your provider, feeling rushed and dismissed during your visit, juggling scheduling combined with sleep deprivation.,
It naturally leads to the question: Why can’t my pediatric team come to me? With our Newborn Pediatric Membership, they can.
We offer unlimited in-home visits and 24/7 telehealth support. That means fewer car seats and waiting rooms, and timelier, calmer, personalized care in the comfort of your home. It can reduce stress and expense, limit exposure to other illnesses, and provide real-time guidance when questions arise.
All Memberships include a 50% sibling discount.
Covering all your baby’s pediatric needs for their first two years of growth:
-
- Unlimited house calls (well and sick visits)
- Unlimited telehealth (24/7 access)
- Vaccines (ordered through insurance)
- Growth tracking
- Nutrition consultations
- Lactation consultations
- Sleep consultations
- Postpartum depression screening for parents
- Developmental consultations and referrals
- Mental health support
- At-home diagnostic device included
What an in-home visit feels like: unrushed, relationship-centered care; thorough assessments; time for your questions; and a clinician who truly gets to know your child’s baseline in their natural environment.
First Steps Pediatric Membership (Ages 2–18)
Once your child turns two, the frequency of standard visits decreases, so your membership should reflect that.
The First Steps Pediatric Membership maintains the same expert team and 24/7 virtual access, with a lighter schedule of in-home visits tailored to the on-the-go years. All Memberships include a 50% sibling discount.
If more visits are needed, no problem. Additional visits are capped at five, so you will never pay more than the Newborn rate.
Our philosophy is simple: if we are needed less, you should pay less.
What’s Included:
-
- 4 house calls per year
- Unlimited tele-health
- Vaccines (ordered through insurance)
- Growth tracking
- Nutrition consultations
- Developmental consultations and referrals
- Mental health support
- At-home diagnostic device included
This membership keeps your child’s care consistent, convenient, and comfortable, with providers your child knows and trusts.
Expecting Parent Membership (Coming Soon!)
While this post breaks down our pediatric memberships, it is important to share our complete vision. We created the Expecting Parent Membership (coming soon!) to build a trusting relationship before your little one has even arrived.
This membership treats baby and mother as a whole, creating holistic experiences that relax, educate, and support mothers throughout pregnancy and beyond. We include four unique services of your choice from our Care Network, so expecting mothers can customize their own peaceful, healthy pregnancy journey.
Think of this membership as a gentle on ramp to parenthood, with a pediatric team already in your corner, serving as part of your village during one of life’s most vulnerable and transformative seasons. We open the dialogue early so you can start building trust with our pediatric team and we can get to know your family before baby arrives.
-
- We answer the big (and small) questions that come with having a newborn.
- We facilitate educational classes for parents and caregivers.
- We begin your child’s continuity of care as soon as your provider meets you.
With this early “meet-and-greet,” parents can take a deep breath knowing their pediatric provider is there offering guidance and reassurance, so you never feel alone.
About Insurance: Why We Do Not Take It (and How It Still Helps)
One of our most frequently asked questions is: “Do you take insurance?” We do not, and that is intentional.
Insurance often comes with unclear coverage, varying copays, and restrictions that dictate what care looks like. By operating on a self-pay, concierge care model, we remove the middleman, avoid quotas and unnecessary bureaucracy, and spend the time your child deserves focusing on what is right for your family.
That said, insurance still plays an important role alongside concierge pediatric care:
-
- It helps cover ER visits and specialists.
- Immunizations are covered by insurance and can be administered by our team.
- Many families use HSA funds — often up to $300/month ($3,600/year) — toward concierge/Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership fees.
So, while it may seem counterintuitive to pay for both a membership and insurance, they actually work together to ensure your child’s health needs are fully met.
